Approval Isn’t Necessary. It’s Nice When You Get It, But It’s Not Going To Stop Us From Being Who We Are. I Mean, If I’d Have Listened To Approval, I’d Never Have Made It One Day Onstage. But To Be Criticized, If There’s Validity, As Upset As You Are, You Can Learn From It.

I Come From A Visual Background, And I Grew Up Around A Lot Of Hippies And Artists. My Mom And My Brother And I Moved Around A Lot. We Basically Moved Every Couple Of Years, And I Went To A Lot Of Different Schools. But Creativity, For Us, Was Always A Way Of Life. It Was Never A Job. Being An Artist Was A Passion And A Way Of Life.

I Never Really Expected "hurricane" To Be Censored And Banned Around The World, But I Think The Good Thing That Came From It Was That It Created A Dialogue, A Conversation, A Debate And A Discussion. And That's A Great Thing. It Brought All Of Us Together In A Unique Way. And It Made Us Look A Little Deeper In Ourselves. I Think It's A Good Thing.
