We Need A Return To Transparency And A System Of Checks And Balances, To A President Who Respects Congress' Role Of Oversight And Accountability.

I Believe That It Is Imperative That We Learn From The Mistakes.

Nine Million People - Nine Million People Lost Their Jobs [in 2008]. Five Million People Lost Their Homes. And $13 Trillion In Family Wealth Was Wiped Out.now, We Have Come Back From That Abyss. And It Has Not Been Easy.

I Am Somewhat Influenced By The Years That I've Spent Trying To Actually Get Things Done, Whether It Was Reforming Education In Arkansas Or A Survey And Legal Services Corporation Board When President [jimmy ]carter Appointed Me And Trying To Get Lawyers For Poor People. I Have Worked In These Areas. I Know It's More Than Just A Hope. You've Got To Translate It Into A Policy That Leads To Action.
